Countywide Planning Policies are written stat <br />used solely for establishing a countywide framework for developing and ad <br />county and city comprehensive plans ; and <br />The role of the Countywide Planning Policies is to coordinate comprehensivt. <br />plans for jurisdictions in the sa me county for regi onal issues affecting comma . <br />borders and provide a countywide framework that ensures consistency betwet. <br />city and county comprehensive plans as required by RCW 36.70A .100 ; and <br />Kittitas Countywide Planning Policies were last amended by Ordinance 2013-0(, <br />in April 2013 but have not been comprehensively updated since Ordinance 1998 <br />020 in September 1998; and <br />As per RCW 36 .10A.130, Kittitas County and all citiesltown shall take action to <br />review and if needed , re vise their comprehensive plans and development <br />regulation s to e nsure the plan and regulations comply with the Growth <br />Management Act on or before June 30, 2017 ; and <br />The Kittitas Conference of Governments have held regular month ly meetings that <br />are open to the public from August 2015 through June 2016 to co ns ide r <br />amendments to the Countywide Planning Po li cies ; and <br />In a public meeting held on June 22 , 2016 the Kittitas Conference of <br />Governments deliberated and adopted the amendments to the Countywide <br />Planning Policies and recommended for approval by th e Kittitas Board of County <br />Commissioners the amendments shown in Attachment A to this Ordinance ; and <br />On June 14 and July 5 ,2016 the Kittitas Co unty Board of County Commissioners <br />held continuations of the April 19 , 2016 public hearing to co nSider the approval of <br />proposed amendments to the Countywide Planning Policies as recommended by <br />the Kitt itas County Conference of Governments ;
