Kittitas County <br />Event Center <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />6/5/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to approve BOCC signature on WA State Department of Agriculture grant agreement K2501 for <br />Bloom Pavilion Project <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Funds awarded under this performance-based agreement shall be used solely for a capital improvement <br />project to renovate the Bloom Pavilion at the Kittitas Valley Event Center located at 901 East 7th Avenue, <br />Ellensburg WA 98926. <br />Project involves: <br />• Remove existing footing and install new footing; <br />• Design, purchase, and install heating; <br />• Design, purchase, and install materials necessary to improve air circulation and air quality. <br />• Matching funds are $150,000 as per approval by Kittitas County BOCC. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Washington State Department of Agriculture <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve receipt of the grant and authorize BOCC signature on grant contract K2501 <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return signed originals (2 copies) to the Event Center <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Jill Scheffer <br />
