Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />6/5/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve resolution granting ascent to agreement between CWU and DNR regarding parking helicopters on <br />the premises leased by CWU at our airport during the fire season. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />CWU leases property from the County at our airport and industrial area. Said lease requires BOCC approval <br />for subleases or sublicenses. CWU and DNR have arranged in years past, and the County has granted ascent <br />to such, that the DNR may park it helicopters on CWU's leased premises during the fire season. CWU and <br />DNR are seeking to do that again this season. The attached resolution would grant such assent. The <br />agreement between CWU and DNR is attached as well. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />I have been in email conversation with a representative of CWU. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve resolution granting ascent to agreement between CWU and DNR regarding parking helicopters on <br />the premises leased by CWU at our airport during the fire season. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />None. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Neil Caulkins <br />
