KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: June 5, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge the Purchase of Two X2 Taser Units <br />for the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputies. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office needs to provide two new Tasers, <br />one for the new line deputy being filled and (1) for the new civil deputy, as the existing <br />units for those positions are outdated and no longer supported for replacement or repair. <br />The replacement agreement will: <br />-Purchase (2) X2 Taser units and accessories as per the contract. <br />-Includes Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) hardware extended warranty coverage, <br />CEW products, and CEW accessories as listed in the quote provided by Axon. <br /> <br />Per Resolution 2017-123, the Sheriff is authorized to spend up to $10,000 at a time on <br />behalf of the County’s needs. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The purchase agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas <br />County Prosecutor’s Office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge the Purchase of Two X2 Taser Units <br />for the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputies. <br /> <br />HANDLING: None. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff
