Kittitas County <br />Superior Court <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />5/15/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Execute the Agreement for Kittitas County Superior Court Indigent Defense Services with Hull Law. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The County entered into an Agreement with Brumley and Hull for public defender services for eligible <br />indigent criminal defendants in Superior Court for 2018. Brumley and Hull has dissolved the firm and <br />Michelle Hull (former partner) has formed a new practice, Hull Law, and will now be handling the <br />representation of eligible indigent criminal defendants. The terms of the contract remain the same with the <br />exception of term of the agreement commencing May 1, 2018. It still expires December 31, 2018 <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />The Prosecutor's Office drafted the Agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Request to execute the Agreement for Kittitas County Superior Court Indigent Defense Services with Hull <br />Law. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Original – Clerk of the Board <br />Copy – Auditor <br />Copy – Prosecutor <br />Copy – Superior Court <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Sarah Keith <br />
