BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON JACOBS TASK ORDER NO. 3 <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 ADDING ADDITIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR <br />THE TEANAWAY HYDRAULIC IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Jacobs is a Public Works' selected Task Order Contract civil engineering <br />consultant pursuant to a 2016 competitive selection process (Resolution 2017- <br />033); and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works is responsible for delivering plans, specifications and engineering <br />for the Teanaway Hydraulic Improvements Project with Western Federal Lands <br />(WFL) as defined in Resolution 2017-139; and <br />WHEREAS: The County Engineer has unexpectedly terminated employment with Public <br />Works creating a need for additional project design support from Jacobs; and <br />WHEREAS: Delivery of the Teanaway Hydraulic Improvements Projects is time sensitive <br />owing to WFL grant obligations; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on Jacobs Task Order No. <br />3 Amendment No. 1 adding civil engineering support services, in the amount of $170,423 <br />supporting delivery of the Teanaway Hydraulic Improvements project. <br />Dated this 1 st day of May, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Paul Jewell, Commissioner <br />
