KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 6, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the appointment of Victor Woodward to the Lodging Tax <br />Advisory Committee (LTAC). <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee was formed per Resolution <br />2009-07. The Resolution indicates that two members are to be <br />from organizations potentially receiving funding and two <br />members from businesses who are required to pay the tax. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On December 27, 2017 Staff received an Application from Victor <br />Woodward to be considered for the County Lodging Tax Advisory <br />Committee (LTAC). <br /> <br /> On January 12, 2018 Staff received a letter from the Clerk of the <br />Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, indicating that the (LTAC) had <br />met and unanimously supports the Board of County <br />Commissioners appointing Mr. Woodward. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Mr. Victor Woodward. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Deputy Clerk of the Board to notify applicant and the LTAC of the <br />Board’s action. <br /> Update the County Boards, Committee’s and Commissions page. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Application from Mr. Woodward <br /> Letter from LTAC Clerk <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board on behalf of Paul <br />Jewell Commissioner/Chair of the LTAC
