Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />2/20/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Sign Resolution increasing the number of low income vouchers available for the low income fair admission <br />program <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The BOCC and the Kittitas County Fair Board discussed increasing attendance to the KC Fair for low <br />income individuals who might have a hardship in taking their families if they had to pay full price. The <br />County created a low income ticket price and Friends of the KC Fair Foundation entered into agreements <br />with DSHS and Elmview Services to identify qualifying individuals through their programs. The KC Fair <br />Foundation covers the actual reduced ticket price for all vouchers submitted by individuals at the ticketing <br />gates. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Friends will continue to work with agencies providing services to keep this program adopted by the BOCC <br />operational. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve updated program - increased vouchers. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Sign resolution, file, signed copy to Friends of KC Fair Foundation <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Greg Zempel <br />
