Kittitas County <br />District Court, Lower <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />12/19/2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve increase in hourly rate for Judge Pro Tem in Upper & Lower District Court <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The current Pro Tem rate is $70/hr which was set by Resolution No. 2008-130. An increase is needed to <br />keep up with cost of living. An increase to $85/hr is reflective of the 2% - 3% increase which other County <br />employees have been receiving. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Funding for this salary increase was included in the 2018 proposed budget. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend the Board of County Commissioners set this matter for the Consent Agenda on 12/19/17 to <br />consider approval of this Resolution. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return a copy to LKD & UKD <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Barbara Demory <br />
