KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 5, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the appointment of Ann Anderson to <br />the Kittitas County Airport Advisory Board as <br />the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce <br />Representative and Reappoint Marlene Pfeifer <br />to the Realtor position, for two year terms. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Currently there are 4 vacancies on the Airport <br />Advisory Board, one that is a representative of <br />the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and <br />one that is a representative of the Realtors of <br />Kittitas County. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On March 28, 2017 Public Works received a <br />letter from the Chamber of Commerce CEO <br />Jim Armstrong requesting the Board of County <br />Commissioners consider the appointment. On <br />August 16, 2017 the BoCC received a copy of <br />the letter from the Chamber CEO asking the <br />County to consider appointing Ms. Anderson. <br />On October 3, 2016 Staff sent out <br />reappointment letters to Boards Committee’s <br />and Commission members with terms about to <br />expire. On August 21, 2017 Staff received an e- <br />mail from Ms. Pfeifer indicating that she had <br />faxed in her request. Staff let her know it <br />wasn’t received and asked her to respond with <br />her desire to be reappointed. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Ms. Ann Anderson to the Airport <br />Advisory Board for a two year term effective <br />immediately through December 31st, 2018 (as <br />she is fulfilling a previous members term). <br /> Reappoint Marlene Pfeifer to the Airport <br />Advisory Board as a representative to the <br />Realtors in the County. <br />
