<br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Cle Elum/Roslyn High School Boys Golf Team <br />2017 State Champions Day – June 23, 2017 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Nick Baker and Chase Marquette are student athletes from Cle Elum/Roslyn High School <br />who both qualified for the 1A Boys Golf State Tournament in 2016 and 2017; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: in 2016 they had a team score of 69.00 and took fourth place in State; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: on May 23 & 24, 2017 Nick and Chase played in the 1A Boys State Golf Tournament at <br />the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, Washington; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Nick finished 1st and Chase placed 7th in the individuals which gave them a combined <br />score of 81.00 to take home the 1A Boys Golf Team State Championship; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to recognize Nick and Chase along <br />with their coaches for their accomplishments over the past two years and for their hard <br />work, dedication, commitment and passion for the sport of golf; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: these two young men not only brought home a State Championship for their school, but <br />they also served as ambassadors for Kittitas County throughout their season; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of Commissioners would like to request that the <br />citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring the 2017 1A Boys’ Golf Team and <br />Proclaim June 23, 2017 as “Cle Elum/Roslyn High School Boys Golf Team State Champions Day” in <br />Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 20th day of June 2017. <br /> <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> Paul Jewell, Chairman <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> Obie O’Brien, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
