<br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />“Luke Peebles Day” – April 7, 2017 <br />2017 State 1B/2B Wrestling Champion – 182 lb. Weight Class <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Luke Peebles is currently a senior at Kittitas High School and a valued leader of their wrestling team; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Luke is an athlete known by his coaches for his tremendous work ethic, being highly coachable with guts and <br />heart and sense of humor both on and off the wrestling mat; <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Luke had another incredible wrestling season this past winter by going 35-1 with 12 tournament titles <br />including the Ray Westberg Invitational; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: of those 35 wins, 30 were by pin including his State Championship match which was held at the Tacoma <br />Dome on February 18, 2017; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Luke’s season culminated with an individual 1B/2B State Championship Title in the 182 weight class; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Luke is ending his high school wrestling career as a 2 time State medalist by taking 3rd in State in 2016 and <br />1st in 2017 and should be recognized for his hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling while <br />representing Kittitas High School and community; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners asks the citizens of Kittitas County to join <br />them in celebrating and honoring Luke Peebles and his State Wrestling Championship Title for the 1B/2B – 182 lb.
