KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 4, 2017 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Conduct a Public Hearing to receive comments on an <br />application for the Community Development Block <br />Grant Public Service Funds beginning July 1, 2017 <br />through June 30, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Commerce notified Kittitas County and <br />HopeSource that there is a total of $84,503.00 available in <br />Community Development Block Grant funds to provide <br />public services for the period beginning July 1, 2017 through <br />June 30, 2018. This amount includes a $3,500.00 County <br />Administration fee. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: As part of the funding requirements the Board of County <br />Commissioners are to conduct a Public Hearing to inform <br />citizens of the availability of funds, eligible uses and receive <br />comments on proposed activities, particularly from low-and <br />moderate-income persons, as well as receive comments on <br />the programs past performance and use of their 2016 CDBG <br />Public Service Grant funds. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Hearing to consider public comments on <br />the availability of funds, eligible uses and proposed activities <br />on the Community Development Block Grant public service <br />funds available to Kittitas County and HopeSource. <br /> <br />Approve & authorize signature on the 2017 CDBG Public <br />Service Grant Application materials including: <br />CDBG Project Summary <br />Project Description & Low and Moderate–Income <br />Benefit Table <br />Annual Budget (July – June) <br />Citizen Participation Documentation <br />Resolution with Certifications of Compliance <br /> Title VI Certification <br /> Public Services Environmental Review <br /> <br />
