KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 7th, 2017 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize the Public Works Director's signature on <br />the Consultant Agreements for Professional <br />Geotechnical and Material Testing Services Contracts <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County requires Geotechnical and Material <br />Testing services to facilitate Road, Bridge and other <br />projects. This contract allows for Public Works to <br />retain the services from Consultants for Geotechnical <br />and Material Testing services on an on-call basis. <br />This consultant agreement will benefit the County by <br />reducing the time and cost needed to advertise and <br />award contracts. <br />Public Works is requesting the Board authorize the <br />Public Works Director to sign the consultant <br />agreements between the County and BAER Testing <br />and Intermountain Materials Testing. Public Works is <br />also requesting the Board authorize Director's or <br />County Engineer's signature authority to sign task <br />orders for $50,000 or below. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Public Works Director's signature on <br />the Consultant Agreements for Professional <br />Geotechnical and Material Testing Services Contracts <br />HANDLING: Return two each Original signed documents to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Local Agency Standard Consultant Agreements <br />Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Lucas Huck <br />County Engineer <br />
