ATTACHMENT "A" <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />In addition to providing all material and labor, the Contractor shall perform the following activities: <br />Provide mental health services to the students at Cle Elum-Roslyn School District with a focus on prevention <br />through implementation of: <br />6 Outdoor education and activities <br />o Physical movement is one of the best ways to directly address mental health issues. Students sit <br />for long periods of time, and we are trying to focus on our natural surroundings to reduce screen <br />time, get physically moving and address the growing obesity, mental health issues, and substance <br />abuse challenges. We know if we can get them interested in physical movement, they likely will <br />join our athletic programs, our outdoor pursuits after school programming and be more resilient <br />to mental health issues, and drug abuse. This is research based best practice <br />m Updated health curriculum <br />G Strategies for reduced cell phone use <br />o Screen time is a proven leading indicator to mental health issues in youth. There are numerous <br />civil lawsuits in this arena showing how screen time has a direct correlation to mental health <br />issues. The initiative is to get students engaged in relationships around them, improve their <br />academic success, both proven factors in those that do not experience mental health issues. <br />o After -school clubs <br />® Professional staff development <br />o This staff development is on Social Emotional Learning and on our Positive Behavior Intervention <br />and supports program. This is research based best practice to directly address belonging, success, <br />and a sense of pride in being connect to a supportive school culture. This is how we directly <br />address mental health challenges and is a statewide focus using these programs.
