All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Kittitas County Public Works. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waiver informalities in the bidding. The improvement for which bids will be received is described below: The work to be performed within 68 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed, consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and other work or items incidental thereto for: This Contract provides for the improvement of an inverted siphon to allow the Ellensburg Water Company canal to flow beneath Whiskey Creek, installation of two County -furnished pre -cast 40-foot steel modular bridges, canal rebuilding and stream restoration and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Engineer's estimated range for the project is $1,900,000.00 - $2,200,000.00.
