BOX 926 / 103 EAST 4TH AVE, SUITE 209 <br />ELLENSBURG, WA 98926 <br />509-925-9747 FAX: 509-962-3031 <br />SMITH brandon@belsmith.com <br />BELSASC0330H <br />June 9,2026 <br />Re: Grinder Shed and Grinder electrical <br />Per the description below, we present the following change order proposal #74 (COP#74). <br />COP #74 includes all the labor and materials needed to install: <br />• Branch circuit for the shed light, convenience receptacle, and AC receptacle <br />• Ground rods and electrodes for the shed <br />• Exterior raceways to be run above grade from shed to the grinder <br />• Raceways, conductors, and connections for grinder control and equipment. <br />Option A: Vermeer recommended VFD Cable <br />Option B: Vermeer allowable substitute XHHW CU Wire <br />Due to the lack of readily available information and the issues encountered after the equipment <br />arrived onsite, Belsaas is requesting a time extension of 116 calendar days. <br />The grinder shed and surrounding area were not shown or identified on the contract drawings. <br />Once the equipment arrived onsite, numerous discrepancies were discovered between the <br />conditions shown on Vermeer's drawings and the actual field conditions. These discrepancies <br />included: <br />• The electrical panel that arrived onsite differed from the panel shown on Vermeer's <br />drawings. <br />The control panel was not UL listed as anticipated. <br />Due to these discrepancies, additional coordination and communication with <br />Washington State Labor & Industries (L&I) was required to verify that the grinder shed <br />installation and configuration would be acceptable and compliant. <br />The unforeseen site conditions, design discrepancies, and resulting regulatory coordination <br />efforts impacted the project schedule and were outside of Belsaas's control. Therefore, Belsaas <br />respectfully requests a time extension of 116 calendar days to account for these delays. <br />Total cost added to contract <br />Time extension required: 116 days <br />Base + Option A: $164,407.86 + WSST <br />Base + Option B: $157,353.46 + WSST <br />
