COMMISSIONER DENEEN seconded. <br /> Discussion - none . Motion passed 4-0 . <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLE made a motion to recommend to the Board of <br /> County Commissioners regarding development and critical area <br /> regulations associated with our Comprehensive Plan update . <br /> COMMISSIONER PEARSON seconded. Discussion - none . Motion passed, <br /> 4-0 . <br /> Motion amended by COMMISSIONER HINKLE to recommend to the Board <br /> of County Commissioners regarding the critical area regulations <br /> associated with our Comprehensive Plan update . COMMISSIONER <br /> PEARSON seconded. Discussion - none . Motion passed, 4-0 . <br /> Presentation and discussion occurred regarding Development <br /> Regulations associated with the 2026 Periodic Comprehensive Plan <br /> update . <br /> COMMISSIONER DENEEN stated that with 17 . 15, there is a better <br /> way to do the land use table . CDS DIRECTOR BALA stated that at <br /> the joint meeting we had, he committed to the Planning <br /> Commission that as soon as we finish the periodic update <br /> critical areas and regulation update, we are scheduled to bring <br /> back the land use table for review. He stated we had stopped at <br /> rural non-lamird and the next step will be to review the lamird <br /> table . ERIN O'KELLEY shared that we did make changes to the <br /> housing and state requirements . COMMISSIONER DENEEN said he <br /> would like staff to consider having commercial land use that <br /> allows dwelling single-family on the second level of a business <br /> allowing multiple family housing, basic mixed use zones . CDS <br /> DIRECTOR BALA stated that most of the proposed changes are in <br /> order to become compliant with state law requirements and he <br /> would caution any type of use inclusion into the lamirds, <br /> specifically the Easton lamird if we have not already published <br /> those type of changes in order to get full input from those <br /> communities . LONG RANGE PLANNER JOHNSTON stated that if we are <br /> wanting to recommend allowances like this in rural areas, that <br /> we doing it in a way that we are not going to have any GMA <br /> issues or conflict with our timeline of planning policies . <br /> 2026-5-12 MINUTES 4 <br />
