BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026 -_____ <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF FUNDING RETURN FROM THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERC AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR SIGNATURE ON A QUIT CLAIM <br />DEED <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County provided funding to the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce for the <br />purchase of a building at 214 North Pennsylvania Ave; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: A Quit Claim Deed was previously signed from Kittitas County to the Chamber of <br />Commerce including a restriction on the use of the building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Chamber of Commerce is prepared to return funding used in the purchase of the <br />building, back to the County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Funding was from the Distressed County Sales and Use Tax, Fund 108 in the amount of <br />$185,504.80. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby accept the funding amount used in the purchase of the building <br />in the amount of $185,504.80, being returned to Fund 108; and <br /> <br />NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that upon receipt of the funding the Chair of the Board of <br />County Commissioners is authorized to sign a Quit Claim Deed with the Chamber of <br />Commerce to remove the building restriction. <br /> <br />DATED this 13th day of July 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik ________________________________ <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br /> _______________________________ ________________________________ <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br />
