BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026 - <br />AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE HORIZONTAL CURVE SAFETY PROJECT <br />(CRP 319-23), AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE <br />THE SAME <br />WHEREAS: The call for sealed bids supporting the Horizontal Curve Safety Project (CRP <br />319-23) was authorized by the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on June <br />16, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids in accordance with RCW <br />36.77.020 Contract Procedures; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were received and opened on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 am; and <br />WHEREAS: There were three (3) responsive bids received for review; and <br />WHEREAS: The lowest responsive bid was from M2 Industrial, Inc. in the amount of <br />$370,947.00; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Director recommends the lowest responsive bid be accepted; <br />and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in <br />the best interest of the County to award the Contract for the Horizontal Curve <br />Safety Project to M2 Industrial, Inc.; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is authorized to sign contract <br />documents for said project. <br />DATED on this 21 st day of July 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
