BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br /> STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2026 - <br /> AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF FUNDING RETURN FROM THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> CHAMBER OF COMMERC AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR SIGNATURE ON A QUIT CLAIM <br /> DEED <br /> WHEREAS: Kittitas County provided funding to the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce for the <br /> purchase of a building at 214 North Pennsylvania Ave; and <br /> WHEREAS: A Quit Claim Deed was previously signed from Kittitas County to the Chamber of <br /> Commerce including a restriction on the use of the building; and <br /> WHEREAS: The Chamber of Commerce is prepared to return funding used in the purchase of the <br /> building,back to the County; and <br /> WHEREAS: Funding was from the Distressed County Sales and Use Tax,Fund 108 in the amount of <br /> $185,504.80. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br /> of the public,does hereby accept the funding amount used in the purchase of the building <br /> in the amount of$185,504.80,being returned to Fund 108; and <br /> NOW,BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that upon receipt of the funding the Chair of the Board of <br /> County Commissioners is authorized to sign a Quit Claim Deed with the Chamber of <br /> Commerce to remove the building restriction. <br /> DATED this 13th day of July 2026, at Ellensburg,Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY,WASHINGTON <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> Attest: <br /> ❑ Clerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br /> Brett Wachsmith,Vice-Chairman <br /> ❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board-Mandy Buchholz <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
