DISCUSSION:
Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce has requested removal of the building use
condition included in the current Quit Claim Deed. Working with the Chamber and the
County Prosecuting Attorney Office, a path forward is for the Chamber to reimburse the
County for the funds used in the incubator purchase. The purchase price and fees total to
$185,504.80 and were allocated from the Distressed Sales and Use Tax (Fund 108). A
Corrective Quit Claim Deed has been prepared (Exhibit 2) which does not have the
building use condition.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Purchase price of building would be returned to Fund 108 (Public Facilities) and made
available for future projects.
ATTACHMENTS:
Exhibit 1: Quit Claim Deed for 214 North Pennsylvania Ave.
Exhibit 2: Corrective Quit Claim Deed
Exhibit 3: Resolution
