KITTITAS COUNTY <br />EC STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Special Meeting <br />MONDAY 1 2:00 PM I June 29, 2026 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman Brett Wachsmith <br />Others: Event Center Director Kady Porterfield <br />1. Call to Order 2:00pm <br />2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit) None <br />3. Approve Resolution to Adopt Amendments to the Bylaws of the Kittitas County Fair <br />Board: Kady reported it was a successful effort fulfilled with great teamwork from the HR <br />Director and Terese Murphy in the Prosecutor's office. She appreciates all the work they <br />committed to this update, which will provide better clarity to all moving forward. Vice -Chairman <br />Wachsmith moved to approve the Resolution to adopt the amendments to the bylaws of the Fair <br />Board. Chairman Wright seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion passes. <br />4. Approve Chair's Signature on Rodeo Grandstands Project Change Order No. 9: Kady <br />presented the information from the staff report on the proposals within the change order. She <br />shared there will be at least one more Change Order coming before the Commissioners for <br />approval to include a few more items that came up over the last couple weeks. Vice -Chairman <br />Wachsmith moved to approve the Chair's signature on Change Order No. 9. Chairman Wright <br />seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion passes. <br />5. Other Business: Kady is working on staffing plans (with no budget implications) due to the <br />impacts of team members being out for medical reasons. <br />5.
