BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COLINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTIONNo. A0eS-OSt <br />AUTHORIZING PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTOR TO SIGN AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO <br />CONTRACT NO. C1800153 AND AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS TO ADMINISTER THE <br />WATER METERING PROGRAM AND CONTRACT NO. C1800153 <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners authorized an interagency <br />agreement between Kittitas County and the Washington State Department of Ecology for <br />u pitot metering project by Resolution No' 2018-092; and <br />WHEREAS: In 2018, the Kittitas County Health Department and the Washington State Department of <br />Ecology entered into Contract No. C18000153 and amended this contract for the <br />potpoi"t of implementing the pilot meter program; and <br />WHEREAS: On July 27 ,2020, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners directed the <br />public Works Department to take responsibility for administering the Kittitas County <br />Pilot Metering Program; and <br />WHEREAS: A contract amendment is needed to adjust the allocation of funds within the contract <br />budget to reflect incurred and future eipenditures, which can be implemented by a simple <br />amendment; and <br />WHEREAS: public Works cannot be substituted for Public Health through a simple contract <br />amendment; and <br />WHEREAS: <br />WHEREAS: <br />Public Health and Public works desire to move forward with Amendment No. 2 to <br />Contract No. C1800153, which is attached hereto and hereby incorporated by this <br />reference; and <br />public Health and Public Works also desire to clarifi that, while Public Health is signing <br />Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. C1800153, Public Works is responsible for delivering <br />the statement of work and administering this contract; and <br />NOW, TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of county commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does authorize the Public Health Director to sign Amendment No' 2 to Contract No' <br />c1800153. <br />NOW, BE IT FIIRTHER RESOLVED that the Public works Department is authorized to administer <br />the water meter program and Contract No. C I 800153 ' <br />DATED this 15th day of April 2025,atEllensburg, Washington'
