BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASTIINGTON <br />RES <br />NO.2025- <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT <br />OF COMMERCE <br />WHER-EAS, RCW 39.34,the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public <br />agencies to cooperate for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD), <br />is charged witir the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health in the <br />CountY;and <br />WHEREAS, one of the many ways KCPHD preserves and promotes health improvements is by <br />overseeing the homeless and affordable housing committee; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to State law, document recording fees are dedicated to funding homeless <br />and affordable housing programs; and <br />WHEREAS, as detailed in the attached interlocal agreement, the Washington State Department <br />of Commerce is providing funding to Kittitas County for the specific purposes <br />outlined in the agreement lelated to homeless and affordable housing programs. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of county commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby authorizes execution of the attached interlocal agreement with the <br />State Department of Commerce. <br />9"."4 day of 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington' <br />BOARD OF COLINTY COMMISSIONERS <br />, WASHINGTON <br />Washington <br />DAI'ED this <br />rfrttnl Q <br />of the Board
