BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />No.:2026- I O S <br />To RENAME THE KITTITAS COUNTY 1716TU OF IOT" MENTAL HEALTH <br />AND CHEMICAL DEPBNDENCY TAX ADVISORY BOARD <br />WHEREAS: ln2016 the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) established the <br />Behavioral Health and Recovery Advisory Board (BHRAB); and <br />WHEREAS: In2021the BOCC established a tax via ordinance 2021-17; and <br />WHEREAS: In2022 via Resolution2022-185, the BOCC dissolved the Kittitas County <br />Behavioral Health and Recovery Advisory Board and established the <br />Kittitas County 1/10 of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br />Advisory Board; and <br />WHEREAS: The cument advisory board is working on a county strategic plan for the <br />tax funds to recommend to BOCC, which includes a mission, vision, <br />statement, goals, and includes updating the name of the advisory board; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The new name includes both mental health and substance use disorder <br />prevention in the name with behavioral health and removes old <br />terminology such as chemical dependency, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas county Board of <br />Commissioners hereby establishes a new nalne for the Kittitas County 1/10 of 1% Mental <br />Health and Chemical Dependency Tax Advisory Board to be known as the Behavioral <br />Health Tax Advisory Committee (BHTAC). <br />2026.ADoprED tnis lte$aay of W <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
