BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION No.2026- 090 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND THE WASHINGTON TRAFFIC <br />SAFEW COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) and Kittitas <br />County Sheriffls Otfice (KCSO) hive the ability and desire to enter into such a cooperative <br />agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the WTSC has and will provide overtime funding to law enforcement <br />agencies to conduct DUI traffic safety emphasis patrols and; <br />WHEREAS, that funding facilitates the goals and duties of the Kittitas County <br />Sheriffs Office in improving the-safety of the motoring public by providing these emphasis <br />patrols while reducing the fiscal impact on the County, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED that the lnterlocal Agreement between <br />Kittitas County Sheriffls office and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission for high <br />visibility emphasis patrols is approved and shall be filed in a manner consistent with RCW <br />39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this of 2026. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTIT WASHINGTON <br />C <br />ce-Chair <br />ABSENT <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />erk of Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />tr Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />5,1+, <br />RESOLUTION
