<br /> <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />NO.: 2026- <br /> <br />TO RENAME THE KITTITAS COUNTY 1/10TH OF 1% MENTAL HEALTH <br />AND CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY TAX ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In 2016 the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) established the <br />Behavioral Health and Recovery Advisory Board (BHRAB); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In 2021 the BOCC established a tax via ordinance 2021-17; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In 2022 via Resolution 2022-185, the BOCC dissolved the Kittitas County <br />Behavioral Health and Recovery Advisory Board and established the <br />Kittitas County 1/10 of 1% Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Tax <br />Advisory Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The current advisory board is working on a county strategic plan for the <br />tax funds to recommend to BOCC, which includes a mission, vision, <br />statement, goals, and includes updating the name of the advisory board; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The new name includes both mental health and substance use disorder <br />prevention in the name with behavioral health and removes old <br />terminology such as chemical dependency, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby establishes a new name for the Kittitas County 1/10 of 1% Mental <br />Health and Chemical Dependency Tax Advisory Board to be known as the Behavioral <br />Health Tax Advisory Committee (BHTAC). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED this day of 2026. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
