The costs being requested by BNSF appear disproportionate to the scope and public benefit of the <br />project, particularly given the rural nature of the community and the limited number of customers <br />served. <br />Compounding these concerns., BNSF representatives have failed to attend the last two scheduled <br />meetings intended to resolve these issues and move the permitting process forward. These delays <br />are having a direct impact on rural residents and the ability to obtain high speed Internet. <br />Thorp, Washington is a small rural community west of Ellensburg with fewer than 190 broadband <br />serviceable locations (BSLs) i*n the PJor ect area <br />transparent manner,, Without prompt resolution, these pub <br />missing grant deadlines and leaving rural residents withou <br />programs were designed to provide. <br />.
