<br />2026-05-26 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />IT STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />TUESDAY 11:00 AM May 26, 2026 <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osidacz <br />Absent: Chairman Cory Wright <br />Others: IT Director Doug Fessler, Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney, Infrastructure Manager <br />Bill Davis, Administrative Assistant Grant Shimada <br />Call to Order: 11:02 a.m. <br />Citizen Comments – There were no citizen comments. <br />At 11:02 a.m., Vice-Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess into an executive <br />session for 10 minutes with Doug Fessler, IT Director, under RCW 42.30.110(1)(g) To evaluate <br />the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public <br />employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, <br />wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur <br />in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, <br />setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining <br />an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. No action was <br />anticipated. <br /> <br />At 11:12 a.m., the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. No action was taken. <br />GIS Program Update <br />Assistant IT Director Zane Kinney reported the GIS team’s on-going efforts to manage the <br />County’s continuously growing GIS work demand. <br />Public Website/CAMAS Update <br />Mr. Kinney gave a presentation of the new public website that’s still being worked on, <br />showcasing the design layout and new suite of website features. <br />OTHER BUSINESS <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:29 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
