Kittitas County Airport Advisory Committee Bylaws Adopted 04/t9/2022 Amended 05/L9/2026 ARTICLE l- - Authorization t.t The KITTITAS COUNTY AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE, (AAC) is established by the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) by Resolution 2O2O-229. The Airport Advisory Committee Charter, adopted by the BOCC on December L5, 2O2O, establishes the purpose and duties of the AAC. The purpose and responsibilities of the AAC are outlined in the Charter. L.2 Kittitas County will defend and indemnify Committee members as provided for in Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.73. ARTICLE 2 - Purpose (See Charter) 2.1. The purpose of the Airport Advisory Committee shall be to advise and inform the Airport Manager and staff on matters pertaining to the development of the aeronautical, industrial, and agricultural areas at Bowers Field (Airport). 2.2 See Charter for areas of review ARTICLE 3 - Membership 3.1 The makeup of the Airport Advisory Committee shall be seven (7) members which may include representatives from the County, the City of Ellensburg, and those with an interest in economic development, agricultural or hangar lessee, pilot representative, airport/business park tenants, or anyone with experience that could be deemed useful for airport/business park growth. One AAC member will be a representative from the City of Ellensburg City Council, and one AAC member will be a representative from Central Washington University. These two membership positions require nomination and support from their respective organizations. Membership is appointed by the BOCC. 3.2 Member Terms 3.2.L Member terms shall be for 3 years.
