Kittitas County Employee Wellness Program <br />The Kittitas County Employee Wellness Program is designed to support and promote the overall <br />well-being of County employees and elected officials by encouraging healthy lifestyles, fostering <br />workplace connections, and enhancing morale. <br />Program Oversight <br />The Employee Wellness Program is overseen by the Employee Input Committee (EIC) at the <br />discretion of the Board of County Commissioners. The EIC is composed of volunteer <br />representatives from various County departments. Participation on the committee is voluntary <br />and not a requirement of employment. <br />Program Purpose <br />The purpose of the Employee Wellness Program is to: <br />• Promote physical and mental health among employees <br />• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices, including nutrition and regular physical activity <br />• Foster a positive and supportive workplace culture <br />• Provide opportunities for employee engagement, connection, and morale-building <br />Program Activities <br />The EIC coordinates and facilitates a variety of wellness initiatives and activities, including: <br />• County-wide wellness challenges that encourages individual and/or friendly competition <br />• Programs that promote physical activity and healthy habits <br />• Educational opportunities focused on mental wellness, stress management, and physical <br />well-being <br />• Social events designed to build camaraderie among employees <br />In addition, the program includes annual events such as: <br />• Social gatherings and team-building activities <br />• Cooking and wellness-related contests <br />• Themed office decorating events tied to seasonal and holiday celebrations <br />Participation <br />Participation in all wellness activities and events is strictly voluntary. Employees are encouraged, <br />but not required, to participate. Choosing to participate will not affect employment status or job <br />responsibilities.
