KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 12, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: EOC/SAR Project Update <br />BACKGROUND: In October 2025 Kittitas County awarded the bid for the Search and <br />Rescue/EOC Project. The project is partially funded by a grant <br />which is to be spent on the structure and the generator. We have <br />been notified by the contract that the building manufacturer has <br />moved the building delivery date until the end of July. <br />The revision of the delivery date of the building will push the <br />completion date of the project to the end of September. <br />Discussions have been held with the Darren Higashiyama, and Zack <br />DeHaven about the project and funding. <br />ACTION: Discussion regarding project funding. <br />INTERACTION: Finance, and Sheriff's office <br />ATTACHMENTS: Construction Progress schedule <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Stacey, Facilities and Waste Operations Director <br />
