- tfr f,*t-_
Thank You
The Washington Scate Department of Transportation
(WSDOT) acknowledges the efforts of Kittitas County in
addressing safety concerns on Snoqualmie Pass and State
Route 906 through the preparation of this Comprehensive
SafetyAction Plan (CSAP) and the proposed improvements
it contains. WSDOT supports safery improvements
within this corridor. There is currently no funding for the
improvemencs described in the CSAP, and itwould require
state or federal legislative action.
Additionally, any proposed improvements within the state
highway right-of-way are subject to WSDOT's planning,
environmental, and design processes, which may result in
preferred alternatives different from those proposed in this
plan. Lastly, future commercial, residential, and recreational
development in this area has the potential to decrease
the effectiveness of anyproposed improvements. Land
use proposals in this area should be carefully considered
prior to approval. In summary,WSDOT supports this
CSAP conceptually. However, funding, WSDOT processes,
and future development mayhave an impact on the
improvements proposed in the plan.
4/
tsnian White
Regional Administrator
WSDOT South Central Region
^-.
ft
WWSDOT
==$:=++-
