Re: Comments on the Kittitas County 2026 Comprehensive Plan up�°afement #L i March 2, 2026 Page 7 plan, and the county development regulations,14 to: "(d) Make[] adequate provisions for existing and projected needs of all economic segments of the community, including: (i) Incorporating consideration for low, very low, extremely low, and moderate-income households[.]" "`Extremely low-income household' means a single person, family, or unrelated persons living together whose adjusted income is at or below 30 percent of the median household income adjusted for household size ..."15 "`Very low-income household' means a single person, family, or unrelated persons living together whose adjusted income is at or below 50 percent of the median household income adjusted for household size »16 "`Low-income household' means a single person, family, or unrelated persons living together whose adjusted income is at or below 8o percent of the median household income adjusted for household size ...."17 "Moderate-income household" means a single person, family, or unrelated persons living together whose adjusted income is at or below 120 percent of the median household income adjusted for household size ...."18 It is important to analyze housing needs and capacity by these categories because different housing types and different levels of subsidies and incentives are needed to fund housing affordable to families in the different income categories.19 So Table 4-2 should be broken out by the income categories in RCW 36.7oA.07O(2)(c) and (d).zO Table 4-2 on page 81 should only including housing types documented to be affordable for the various income categories as planned affordable housing.
