Community
Meeting Memo
Date: May 20, 2025
To: Kelee Hodges, Cameron Curtis; Kittitas County
From: Taylor Whitaker, RSP1, Abigail Powell; Fehr & Peers
Subject: Summary of Community Meeting and Public Input – Snoqualmie Pass CSAP (May 1, 2025)
Introduction
On May 1, 2025, the project team hosted a community meeting to gather input for the Snoqualmie
Pass Comprehensive Safety Action Plan (CSAP). The event took place at the Snoqualmie Pass Fire &
Rescue Station from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and featured an open house format to collect community
feedback, followed by a brief presentation and continued discussion. This memorandum summarizes
the event and compiles the key themes, priorities, and insights that emerged from community input.
Meeting Overview
Event Promotion
After confirming the meeting date, the project team developed a flyer for members of the
Stakeholder Planning Group to distribute throughout the community (Figure 1). Meeting details were
also published on the Snoqualmie Pass CSAP website and through a Public Works press release from
Kittitas County. In addition, approximately 300 residents received event notifications through a group
text system managed by the Snoqualmie Pass Fire Department.
Appendix D | 2
