Collision Trends
* https://wtsc.wa.gov/dashboards/fatalities-dashboard/ accessed May 2025.
Kittitas County & King County
Traffic fatalities and serious injuries on all roads in Kittitas County and King County have risen over the 10-year period
from 2014 to 2023, highlighting a growing safety concern, as illustrated in Figure 11 and Figure 12.*
Snoqualmie Pass
Collision data from 2014 to 2023 was
analyzed for local roads, SR 906, and the on-
and off-ramps of I-90 within the Snoqualmie
Pass area. Over this 10-year period, a total of
107 collisions were reported.
Of these, one collision was fatal and two resulted in
life-altering serious injuries (Figure 13). In addition to
vehicle-only collisions, there were also collisions involving
pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorcyclists, also referred to as
vulnerable road users (Figure 14 and Figure 15). A significant
share of collisions—81 of the 107 (76%)—occurred on SR 906
or the I-90 ramps. All three KSI collisions were vehicle-only
and took place on SR 906 or I-90 ramps (Figure 16).
2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 20232014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023
28
32
31
38
32
29
34
31
41 40
551 597 635 646
609
657 634
763
854
924
Figure 11.
