Somehow, we need to bring those together." <br />Community illembers: Common themes for this question included Access to Services, Shelters, <br />and Housing. Other discussion inctuded pubtic education about hometessness, rental assistance for <br />those at risk of hometessness, and increased utitity assistance. <br />Access ro SERVTcES. Behavioral health, mental health services. Robust, creative, accessibte mental health <br />services. Mental and medical assistance. Retiabte transportation, ftexibte employment opportunities, ftexibte work training <br />programs. Expand shetter services to inctude access to other needs identified by those with that tived <br />experience. Make sure hometess are signed up for atl availabte services such as food stamps, Medicaid, <br />Medicare, affordable housing sign up apptication, etc.. Food and shelter-address immediate needs <br />SnrlrER. Tiny house communities, provide shetter (tow barrier), look for successful modets from <br />etsewhere (i.e. Bend, Toppenish/Wapato, Wenatchee). Short term hetp, steep center, rentaI assistance, food and clothing. Sleep center/shetter, low barrier, year-round shelter <br />HousrNc <br />' Make the process for getting into housing less intimidating and bureaucratic. HOUSING, hometess people need homes, more avaitable housing <br />. "The solution to homelessness is simpte, but it's not easy. 'Home' is in the word, <br />hometess peopte need homes. Atl other things don't hetp if they're sleeping on the <br />street every night. " <br />. "l think it's important to educate the problem to reduce the fear of homeless people.". "Many of the same peopte are a paycheck away from being right there." <br />Central Washington University: Participants had several common themes for this question: <br />Shetter, Housing, Basic Needs, and Communication. Sponsorship/mentorship programs was an <br />outtier.
