You may be in a situation where you need assistance and <br />help, but it's hard to askfor help. lt's a big step, asking for hetp." <br />"There's an unwitlingness to hetp rather than unwittingness to take help.,' <br />Question 4: with timited resources in Kittitas county, what would you <br />prioritize to address homelessness? <br />For this question, most groups were asked to spend a coupte of minutes brainstorming <br />individuatty. Then, they were asked to pick their top two ideas, write them on a large sticky <br />note, and put them up on the watt. The facititator hetped to identify commonalities among the <br />ideas to create themes. <br />People with Lived Experience; The top priorities listed for peopte with tived experience fett into <br />four themes: Addressing barriers, addressing stigma, temporary housing assistance, and housing <br />avaitabitity. <br />AooRess BARRIERS. Addressing mental health and substance use disorder as a barrier. Disabitity/addictionservices. A ptace for someone who is homeless to ctean up for a job interview. Fundraising for buitding ownership to increase available housing. More housing availability <br />. "l guess more of a system for people who are in doubled up scenarios....A tittte bit of <br />preventive maintenance for the homeless, when on that teetering spot, coutd go a long <br />way." <br />Service Providers: Three themes emerged with a coupte of outliers: Communication, Behavioral <br />Heatth Services, and Shelter and TransitionaI Housing.
