Response 6.1: Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
Suncadia's Summer Concert Series is a new event activation designed to build on the proven success of past seasonal
programming, including the Backyard Spotlight Series and Summer Nights in the Village. These previous concert events
consistently attracted hundreds of attendees per evening, including resort guests, local residents, and tourists from across
Washington and neighboring states. Their popularity has demonstrated a strong demand for live music and family-friendly
programming in Kittitas County during the summer months.
This new series will be hosted in the Suncadia Social development, a newly established area within the resort that is being
designed to support community gatherings, pop-up retail, and cultural programming. By anchoring the concert series in this
location, we aim to drive foot traffic and visibility to local businesses that are bringing storefronts to the area. These businesses,
many of which are small, independent, and locally owned, will benefit from increased exposure and sales opportunities as
concert attendees explore the space before, during, and after performances.
Because this is a new venue, we anticipate higher infrastructure costs to support the concert series. Unlike previous concert
locations, Suncadia Social will require investment in event infrastructure, including stage setup, lighting, sound equipment,
seating, and safety barriers. These foundational elements are essential to creating a professional and welcoming environment
that can sustain recurring events and accommodate growing attendance.
The LTAC grant funding will be instrumental in helping us launch this new series successfully, ensuring that we can meet the
logistical demands of the venue while maintaining the high-quality programming that guests have come to expect. By supporting
this initiative, LTAC will be investing in a scalable, tourism-driving event that strengthens the local economy, promotes cultural
enrichment, and enhances the visibility of Kittitas County as a summer destination.
2500 character limit
Response 6.2: You may upload any supporting documents such as graphs, images, diagrams, marketing materials, etc.
You are allowed to submit up to 3 single page (US Letter) documents in JPG, PDF or TIFF format
7| Previous Lodging Tax Grant Information
Response 7.1: Has your event received Lodging Tax funds in previous years?*
No, this event/project has not previously received Lodging Tax Funding
Yes, 1 year previous
Yes, 2 years previous
Yes, 3 years previous
Yes, 4 or more years previous
Response 7.2: Overall Attendance *
Past Actual *Projected *
4,500 4,950
Response 7.3: Number of people travelling more than 50 miles for your event?*
Past Actual *Projected *
3,825 4,207
Response 7.4: Number of people traveling from outside WA State for your event?*
Past Actual *Projected *
225 247
Response 7.5: The number of overnight guests who stay in paid accommodations in Kittitas County for your event?*
Past Actual *Projected *
21,914 24,105
Response 7.6: Number of paid lodging room nights resulting from you event/activity/facility?*
Past Actual *Projected *
