WHEREAS: in accordance with an amendment to the interlocal agreement, each participating <br /> municipality agreed to make available 13% of their annual lodging tax collections <br /> to be awarded through the consolidated lodging tax grant process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: in accordance with the interlocal agreement, Kittitas County will provide notice to <br /> each successful applicant and will require a contract be agreed to by each <br /> successful applicant prior to funding awards being available for reimbursement; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: in accordance with the interlocal agreement, Kittitas County will serve as the <br /> single reimbursing agency for all successful applicants and will bill each <br /> participating municipality’s lodging tax fund, for its respective share of any <br /> reimbursements awarded and applied for; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Resolution 2026-018 awarded the use of 2026 Hotel/Motel Tax funds for <br /> $480,887.39, which the county-wide LTAC Consolidated Work Group <br /> recommended expending. <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County designated $341,015.40 to be available for grants as part of this <br /> process, Ellensburg designated $108,259.12, Cle Elum designated $27,340.67, <br /> and Roslyn designated $4272.20; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That Kittitas County hereby awards the 2026 <br />Hotel/Motel Tax fund grants distribution for special events and projects as follows: <br />Applicant Award <br />Webb Events 50,500.00 <br />Cle Elum Downtown Association 25,000.00 <br />Top Tier Sports 65,000.00 <br />Ellensburg Downtown Assoc/PLACES 5,500.00 <br />KEEN 15,000.00 <br />Punch Projects 20,000.00 <br />WA State Ski & Snowboard Museum 15,000.00 <br />Roslyn Downtown Association 34,175.00 <br />Ellensburg Downtown Association 47,600.00 <br />Kittitas County Historical Society 17,000.00 <br />Gallery One 15,000.00 <br />Ellensburg Rodeo Association 30,000.00 <br />Suncadia Springfest 2,923.00
