KITTITAS COUNTY SOLID WASTE ON-CALL <br />CLE ELUM TRANSFER STATION FRONT ENTRANCE DESIGN <br />TEMPORARY EROSION AND PW\JA\KITTCO02\ENTRANCE <br />SEDIMENT CONTROL JUNE 2023 <br />01 57 13 - 6 ©COPYRIGHT 2023 JACOBS <br />8) Schedule of phased clearing operations to limit soils to what <br />can be stabilized. <br />9) Vegetative practices, including preservation of existing <br />vegetation, seeding, mulching, and buffer strips. <br />10) Preventing erosion of exposed areas. <br />11) Diverting flows from exposed slopes. <br />12) Limiting runoff from exposed areas. <br />13) Limiting sediment transport within work sites and keeping it <br />from moving off of project areas. <br />14) Perimeter controls for all clearing and grubbing, both <br />planned and installed. <br />15) Additional controls for wet season work and temporary <br />work suspensions. <br />16) Sensitive areas such as wetlands. <br />17) Offsite material source and waste areas. <br />18) Dust. <br />19) Emergency materials stockpiled onsite. <br />20) Storing flows and filtering sediment. <br />21) Soil stockpiles. <br />4. Contractor’s construction TESC Plan and implementation schedules <br />must be prepared by a competent individual. Furnish a signed copy of <br />the TESC Plan with individual’s name, title, state certifications, and <br />employing firm if different than Contractor’s firm. <br />5. Do not begin any Site activities that have potential to cause erosion or <br />sediment movement until the TESC Plan and implementation schedules <br />are approved. <br />6. Keep a copy of the approved TESC Plan with updated changes onsite <br />during all construction activities. During inactive periods longer than <br />7 calendar days, keep the TESC Plan onsite. <br />7. Continually update the TESC Plan and schedules as needed for <br />unexpected storm or other events to ensure that sediment-laden water <br />does not leave the construction site. Add approved changes to the TESC <br />Plan no later than 24 hours after implementation. <br />E. Preventing erosion, and controlling runoff, sedimentation, and non-stormwater <br />pollution, requires Contractor to perform temporary Work items including, but <br />not limited to: <br />1. Providing ditches, berms, culverts, and other measures to control <br />surface water. <br />2. Building dams, settling basins, energy dissipaters, and other measures, <br />to control downstream flows.
