The proposal requests $1,500,000 in COG <br />funds with only $125,000 in other funding, meaning the overwhelming share of funding would come from distressed <br />sales tax dollars. <br />The funding request is primarily to repair an existing water system that suffers from years of deferred maintenance. <br />While maintenance is necessary, the proposal does not address the core structural concern: the water district's supply <br />is subject to curtailment. <br />
