The proposed vacation area abuts the following parcels:
- Tax Parcel No. 808435 (Petitioner — Lot 71)
- Tax Parcel No. 818435 (Lot 72)
- Tax Parcel Nos. 768435, 778435, 788435, 798435 (Lots 67-70)
Reason for Request:
The subject portion of the county right-of-way is useless as part of the county road system within
the meaning of RCW 36.87.010 and KCC 12.10.030, for the following reasons:
a. This portion of the roadway has never been constructed, paved, or improved in any manner;
b. The right-of-way has remained unused for vehicular or public travel for decades;
c. The topography of the site consists of a steep hillside, making future road construction
impractical and cost -prohibitive;
d. Adequate roadway access and vehicle turnaround areas exist on the improved roadway
immediately north of the subject area.
7. The continued retention of the right-of-way imposes a maintenance and liability burden on the
County without providing a corresponding public benefit.
Please submit completed application and application fee to:
Kittitas County Public Works
411 North Ruby, Suite 1
Ellensburg, WA 98926
EXHIBIT A
"Proposed Right of Way Vacation" survey exhibit, Job No. 24591, prepared by Encompass
Engineering & Surveying
attached
411 N.
