03/02/2026 MINUTES 2 <br />bring forward fee updates more frequently in the future so that any <br />increases would be less significant. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION MILESTONES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Vice-Chairman Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-039, a <br />Resolution Authorizing Recognition of Employee Milestones with <br />Kittitas County. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />REQUEST ADD DOOR / RETAIN BOCC STORAGE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator, explained that she had been <br />discussing space needs with Facilities Director Stacey in <br />preparation for the upcoming office relocation. During those <br />discussions, they explored the possibility of adding a door to the <br />current break room in the old BoCC Office. This modification would <br />allow the BoCC Office to keep files and records nearby and easily <br />accessible, helping address space limitations at the new office <br />location. <br />The Board agreed that this was a great option and directed Staff to <br />notify Director Stacey to proceed with the proposed modification. <br /> <br />UPDATE WHITE BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board reviewed their current whiteboard topics and provided <br />status updates. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION COUNTY FACEBOOK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of March 2, 2026, they would <br />post the following on their Facebook page: Announcement from the US <br />Small Business Administration (SBA) officially opened disaster loan <br />applications for disaster declared, and contiguous, counties in <br />Washington following the December 2025 flood and winter storm event. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2026 <br />were determined during a Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting and they will continue to provide updates at future <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on <br />meetings & conversations that the Board participated in, <br />individually, over the past week. <br />
