BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2026- OS D <br />AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORIG DIRECTOR SUBMITTAL OF AIRPORT AID <br />APPLICATION TO WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />AVIATION DTVISION FOR BOWERS FIELD IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is programming grant funding for <br />the Hangar Taxilane Complex Construction project at Bowers Field in the <br />amount of $902,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is programming grant funding for <br />the Apron and Taxiway Pavement Maintenance Design project at Bowers Field <br />in the amount of $95,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS: Ln2026 the County is required to match federal aviation funding with five <br />percent (5%) of the grant award amount; and <br />WHEREAS: The Washington state Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Aviation Division <br />noticed Public Works of airport aid application which can provide funds to be <br />used as matching funds to the federal aviation funding; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared an aid application to submit to the Washington state <br />Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Aviation Division for two and one-half <br />percent (2.5%) grant match the federal funding; and <br />WHEREAS: The state money reduces the County's match obligation from the Airport Fund to <br />an amount of $23,750.00 for the hangar taxilane project and $2,500.00 for the <br />pavement maintenance design project; and <br />WHEREAS: The project is pending review from the FAA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration, does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to submit the <br />grant application for airport aid to WSDOT Aviation Division, and guarantees <br />availability of matching funds to fulfill the local match contribution requirement. <br />DATED on this 3rd day of March 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS , WASHINGTON <br />Attest: <br />n Clerk of <br />c,J <br />Clerk of the B <br />*J orh La,re rn <br />oard- lVa.ody-Buelhelz <br />Commissioner
