The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce fitts this role by serving as a connector, convener, and imptementation <br />partner. Continued investment ensures that economic development efforts remain coordinated, responsive to <br />business needs, and focused on [ong-term resitience and growth across the entire county. <br />Current Workforce Devetopment Activities <br />The Chamber currently supports workforce devetopment through the fottowing activities: <br />Talent Pipetine Alignment <br />o Connecting emptoyers with K-12, Career & TechnicaI Education (CTE) programs, and higher <br />education to better align training with workforce needs. <br />o Promoting awareness of locaI career pathways to retain talent within the county. <br />Emptoyer Engagement <br />o Conducting direct outreach to emptoyers to identify workforce cha[[enges and opportunities. <br />o Convening emptoyers, educators, and workforce partners to support shared, countywide sotutions. <br />Workforce Programming <br />o Hosting workshops, forums, and conferences focused on recruitment, retention, benefits, <br />workplace cutture, and work-tife harmony. <br />o Providing toots and best practices that hetp emptoyers adapt to evotving workforce expectations. <br />Use of Funds / Project Activities <br />Funding witt be used to support consuttant services that expand capacity and improve worHorce outcomes: <br />Strategic Gommu nications Consultant <br />o Devetop consistent messaging around workforce initiatives, career pathways, and emptoyer needs. <br />o lncrease awareness, participation, and alignment with county-led workforce priorities. <br />Smatt Business Devetopment Center (SBDC) Programming Support <br />o Detiver workforce-focused programming for small businesses related to hiring, onboarding, <br />retention, and team development. <br />o lntegrate workforce readiness into broader business sustainabitity initiatives. <br />Grant Writing Consultant (Gountywide Resource) <br />o Provide professionaI grant writing services accessibte to county municipatities. <br />o Support workforce, economic devetopment, and infrastructure projects identified by tocat <br />jurisdictions. <br />o lncrease countywide capacity without dupticating municipaI staffing resources. <br />a <br />a <br />a <br />a
