1 <br />(3) Beginning July 1, 2025, the aviation division of the <br />2 <br />department of transportation must track <br />the amount of additional <br />3 <br />funds awarded for airport projects through <br />the airport aid grant <br />4 <br />program The aviation division of the department <br />of transportation <br />5 <br />must report annually to the transportation committees of the <br />6 <br />legislature for the years 2025 to 2031, and <br />thereafter as needed. The <br />7 <br />8 <br />report must include, but is not limited to: <br />(a) A short description of each airport <br />protect funded; <br />9 <br />(b) The state grant amount from <br />the aeronautics account <br />10 <br />11 <br />contributed to each protect; <br />(c) The amount of federal matching <br />funds contributed to the <br />12 <br />13 <br />project; and <br />(d) The amount of local airport <br />sponsor matching funds <br />14 <br />15 <br />contributed to the project. <br />(4) At the end of fiscal close of each biennium, beginning June <br />16 <br />30, 2027, the aviation division of the department <br />of transportation <br />17 <br />must report to the senate ways and means, <br />house appropriations, and <br />18 <br />the transportation committees of the legislature the estimated amount <br />19 <br />of funds returned to the general fund giving consideration of sales <br />20 <br />and business and occupation taxes generated <br />as a result of the funded <br />21 <br />airport projects. <br />22 NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. This act is necessary for the immediate <br />23 preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of <br />24 the state government and its existing public institutions, and takes <br />25 effect July 1, 2025. <br />--- END --- <br />p. 2 HB 1083 <br />
