KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 2:30 PM January 26, 2026 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith, and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others: Chad Bala, Jamey Ayling, Jessica Miller, Gail Weyand, <br />Community Development Services, Stephanie Hartung, Chief Civil <br />Deputy, Jeannie Killgore, HR Director, Zach Dehaven, Finance <br />Director, Patti Stacey, Facilities Director and (0) zero members <br />of the public. <br />At 2:30 pm Chair Wright opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />Request to approve a Resolution to Dissolve the Short -Term <br />Rental Committee. <br />CDS Director Bala stated the Short -Term Rental Committee has <br />completed the task of creating draft regulations for the short- <br />term rentals. In December 2025, the committee moved to approve <br />the proposed draft codes. CDS Director Bala sent an email to the <br />committee members thanking them for their time and effort. The <br />Commissioners thanked staff for their work. CDS Director Bala <br />stated that the regulations will go before the Planning <br />Commission in July, after they complete the Comp Plan Update <br />Work, to start the public review process. Chairman Wright asked <br />how many members were on the committee and why the quorum was so <br />low at the last meeting. Staff stated the committee members' <br />attendance declined as the work went on. <br />Motion by Vice -Chairman Wachsmith to approve the Resolution as <br />presented dissolving the Short -Term Rental Committee. <br />2026-1-26 <br />MINUTES 1 <br />
