D EVELOPM ENTAL DISABI LITI ES ADVISORY COM M ITTEE <br />BYLAWS <br />PURPOSE OF ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />According to Revised Code of Washingto n 7tA.t4.O50, the committee may serve as an <br />information and referral agency within the community, coordinate services to ensure <br />maximum utilization of available services, and prepare comprehensive plans forfuture <br />developmental services of local services to persons with developmental disabilities. <br />Duties <br />A. Serve as an informational and referral agency within the community for <br />persons with developmental disabilities and their families (RCW <br />71A.14.0s0) <br />B. Advise the BOCC on coordinating localservices for persons with <br />developmental disabilities and their families to ensure the maximum <br />utilization of allservices (RCW 714.14.050) <br />C. Prepare comprehensive plans for present and future development of <br />services and for reasonable progress toward the coordination of all local <br />services to persons with developmental disabilities (RCW 714.14.050) <br />1. Collaborate with the Kittitas County Developmental Disabilities <br />Coordinator on the development, communication, and <br />presentation of the county comprehensive plan for the County <br />DD Services (required by WAC 388-850-020). <br />2. Review and assess community and consumer needs, services, <br />resources, priorities, facilities, and special problems related to <br />developmenta I d isa bi lities i n Kittitas Cou nty. <br />3. Establish priorities based on this assessment and recommend the <br />allocation of available county and state funds in alignment with <br />the plan. <br />D. Review the Committee's bylaws annually at the beginning of each calendar <br />year. <br />E. Maintain confidentiality of information (RCW 7LA.L4.O7O\. <br />F. Participate in committee training as needed designed to provide, <br />improve, or enhance program-related skills of committee and advisory <br />committee members (DDA contract with Kittitas County 8.2.a.ii and <br />t.c.2). <br />Members are required to comply with the Kittitas County Committees, Committees, <br />and Commissions Hondbook
